Arabella Sheraton Hotel

The Arabella Sheraton Hotel is situated on the Arabella Country Estate near Kleinmond. No expense was spared in the building of the luxurious hotel. The entrance is a double volume area with Zimbabwe black granite floors and local timber ceilings. The African theme is carried through with reeded ceilings, exposed wood and stonework, ostrich egg light fittings set in kudu horns and paint techniques.

The bedroom wing consists of five floors with 147 rooms, all with views of either the pool area or the Bot River lagoon. There are also six attic suites and two VIP suites, each with fireplaces and extra little touches. The cupboards are made from cebrano wood, creating the illusion of a zebra stripe. Shower and toilet doors have been sandblasted with African designs and the heavy wooden doors have all been specially carved to reflect the theme’.

The complex also consists of a golf clubhouse; health spa; multiple kitchens ­ pastry kitchen, production kitchen, show kitchen, banqueting kitchen, etc; state of the art conference facilities; restaurants ­ a main restaurant, a fine dining area plus a private dining room; a lounge and cigar bar; reception area, shop, curio shop, senior staff offices and more.
